Blue Sea Beach Affiliated by Melia

Last summer, my husband and I had a wonderful week here. We stayed in a separate building just a step from the sea 😍. The food was delicious, the cocktails amazing, and the staff friendly.

Last October, this hotel didn’t live up to the five-star image it sells. The room looked stuck in the 80s, with very old, scratched furniture and clear wear. The bathroom was tiny, and the shower screen was in such bad shape that the floor flooded every time we showered. Soundproofing was poor too, so we could hear everything from the hallway and neighboring rooms. The so-called All Inclusive was another big letdown. The included drinks menu was limited, and most familiar brands and decent cocktails cost extra. It felt like they were charging more for every drink. Food in the main buffet was mediocre, with little variety and the same dishes repeating daily. Ingredients seemed average, and hot food was usually lukewarm. For somewhere aiming at five stars, the meals felt more like a low-cost three-star hotel.

The setting is beautiful, the rooms are nice, and the pool and bar area is great, with food served there too. The beach is just across the small road, which is handy. We had a good stay overall, though the bar staff spoilt it.

We appreciated the late-night meal waiting for us when we arrived, the swim-up room upgrade, and the chance to check out late. Our child loved the play area, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel felt cozy and the rooms were modern. The main pool area is a bit cramped, and sunbeds were being reserved very early. Still, it was a wonderful all-inclusive holiday.
