It’s about a 15-minute walk to the shops and restaurants. There were a lot of mosquitoes, and the rooms didn’t have anything to keep them out, so we bought magnetic mosquito screens for the balcony windows. The air conditioning wasn’t working. We told the owner, who said they couldn’t fix it since we only realized on our last day. The card terminal was also out of order, so we had to pay cash. I wouldn’t stay there again.

It’s a 15-minute walk from the center, about 6,500 steps. The downhill walk isn’t tiring, but going back up on foot between 10 am and 5 pm is unpleasant. There was a sewage smell in the room, so we had to air it out for five minutes whenever we came in. If you don’t have a car, don’t go there.

The owner speaks English and will help when needed, but came across as cold and didn’t show interest in getting to know us. We had enough parking on an unorganized empty lot beside the house. The ground-floor terrace is big enough for two, with room along the railing to dry towels. The rooms and hallways were hygienic enough. We only learned after insisting that the air conditioning works with a special switch in the terrace door. We’d cooked on the first day before he explained it, and instructions really should be posted in the room. During our three days, the water was off for an hour and we had to move the car so the septic tank could be emptied. Despite those things, the holiday was pleasant!
