As of 2023, the house was in impeccable condition, with everything brand new. Our room was spacious, and the terrace was a lovely place to relax in the evening. The kitchenette had everything we needed, including a sandwich toaster and blender. The windows throughout the house had good sound insulation and external blinds. There’s no full-size refrigerator, just a minibar. We had a wonderful holiday, even though the weather was relatively bad most days. Communication with our hosts was perfect, and Katerina was extremely kind and warm-hearted. The location suited us: it isn’t close to the beach, but you can reach it in 5-10 minutes by car or bike. We wanted the quiet of a small village, pretty houses and narrow streets, mountain and sea views, and a traditional little tavern and other restaurants nearby. Parking right outside in the narrow street may not be possible, since the tourist train passes through every evening. None of this caused us a problem, but I wanted to be objective. We’d come back. The owner is very friendly, helpful and easy to reach. The apartment is simple but has what you need, and it’s kept very clean, with daily cleaning or service as often as needed. The room was nice and basic, and it’s ideally placed for reaching Kavala, Thessaloniki or Chalkidiki.

It’s a plus for me that they allow dogs, and the hosts were very nice and spoke good English. Stavros is small, so even though the location is a little away from the centre, it’s not much of an issue. The studios are quite basic and cramped. They’ve added an extra bed to fit three people into rooms that were designed as bedrooms. The first-floor rooms are quite low, so people at street level can see inside.

The host was welcoming and helpful, and I’m generally satisfied. We were 11 people with four rooms reserved. The rooms were okay, with low beds, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and a balcony with a table and chairs for coffee in the morning or dinner in the evening. There’s also an inner courtyard with tables and a barbecue. It’s on the street, and the sea is about seven minutes away.
