Aloni Suites

Katharina was so kind, and the thoughtful gift when we said goodbye made us feel at home. We loved the gentle, friendly cats too, they made every day feel warmer. Our group of six had plenty of room in this quiet, cosy place. The large pool was a dream, and the whole place was great for families, with billiards for fun evenings. It was clean and well cared for, with daily cleaning and fresh towels every three days. We arranged car rental easily on the first day. We also enjoyed two relaxed outdoor dinners using the grill and pizza oven, and snacks, drinks, and cocktails at the Aloni Café were just right. We can’t wait to return! Family Hradil & Nina

Katerina was super nice, and I felt reassured seeing quilts on the washing line that they were being washed. They kept me at a comfortable temperature too: I like the room warmer than my boyfriend does, and the quilts kept me warm without making me too hot. The apartment was massive, with two bedrooms, one with an en suite toilet, and two balconies. One balcony was as big as two regular hotel rooms. The pool was large and very clean, with a shallow end and a much deeper end at 2 meters. There was also a kids pool, plus table tennis and snooker tables. It’s close to lots of small beaches, though I’d recommend driving since there are no pavements, even if people do walk along the road. Really lovely hotel, we’ll be back soon!

For the price, this was excellent value. The apartment was spacious and clean, with two bedrooms and a large kitchen. The swimming pool was clean too and never crowded. A great sandy beach is five minutes away by car, and from there you can watch planes taking off from Chania airport. There were a few small drawbacks. The living room air conditioning was poor, although it worked well in both bedrooms. The electric stove was strange and took a long time to heat up and cool down, so it takes getting used to. The kitchen was missing some utensils, including a cutting board, a few plates, and all but one small knife.

The apartments are large and spacious, and the hotel is excellent for families. The pool is large, clean, and rarely crowded, and there are some nice organized beaches a short drive away. The one noticeable issue was that our towels weren’t changed during our four-day stay. That’s well below what I’d expect from a proper hotel.
