Calma Beach Hotel

Everything was wonderful, and both the hotel and its surroundings were quiet. The staff were so kind and helpful. We'll definitely be back next year. 🥳

Breakfast was poor and repetitive, not what I'd expect from a hotel of this class, and the whole building was noisy with bad soundproofing, so it was hard to rest. The rooms and bathrooms are tiny, and there didn't seem to be clear criteria for who got a sea-view room. The beach is close, but the water is full of sea urchins, which makes swimming risky. Staff are polite and smile, though on the beach they sometimes seem to mislead guests tactfully about the bills. I was also disappointed by the pet policy. I emailed to ask about bringing my dog and got a strict refusal, but then saw other guests there with dogs. That felt completely unfair. I wouldn't recommend the hotel or return.

The location is fine if you're after peace, but there aren't any shops or markets nearby, so getting food means driving. The rooms are okay, apart from the bathroom, which is much too small. You can barely turn around in it, even if you're small. Breakfast was alright, though the pastries weren't great, and there were more sweet choices instead.

We stayed at Calma Beach in Milies-Stavros in September with our young child, and the staff really made the visit. Maria, the manager, kindly offered us a bigger room with a better bathroom at no extra charge. Lazaros at reception was so polite, cultured, and eloquent, and always ready to help. Litsa and Georgia kept everything clean and comfortable, and were always smiling. Anastasia, the chef, even made fresh orange juice for our child every morning. Their kindness and professionalism made our stay especially enjoyable. We'd happily recommend Calma Beach for a relaxing, welcoming visit.
