Helena Studios has a nice central spot for walking around Svoranata, and the local bars have more to offer. The gardens are terraced with grassy areas around the pool, and Helena, the owner, was warm and welcoming. We paid the Greek tax upfront, €14. The air conditioning cost €93 for our seven-day stay, though in late September we probably could have managed without it. Keep the windows shut at night because there are lots of mosquitoes. Room cleaning was excellent, done daily, with the bed linen changed midweek. The pool and bar area were the problems: sunbeds were left scattered from the night before, and the pool wasn’t cleaned until the end of the week, when it was starting to turn green with a floating film of sun lotion. George, who runs the bar, was one of the rudest, most unpleasant people I’ve met at a resort. TUI don’t visit this hotel, and if they did, they’d see that the food services described in their holiday brief don’t exist. I won’t return to these studios, and I was also very disappointed with TUI and its customer support. That’s another story and review. These are my personal opinions and may differ from those of regular guests.

The only decent thing about Helena Studios was how close it is to the airport. The place was dirty, full of mosquitoes, noisy, and the beds were rock hard. The pool was disgusting too. We left early and had to find new accommodation because it was so bad. They also charge extra for air conditioning and the safe, which wasn’t the case at the other places we stayed. TUI should be ashamed of giving it a three-star rating and advertising it as somewhere to stay. Don’t stay here.

My stay at Helena Inn was fantastic. The staff were warm, welcoming, and professional from the moment I arrived, and check-in was quick and easy. After a long journey, I appreciated the complimentary welcome drink. My room was modern, spotless, and equipped with everything I needed, including a super comfortable bed, fast Wi-Fi, and a stunning city view. Housekeeping was attentive and consistent. Shops, restaurants, and local attractions were all within walking distance, making it a great location for work or leisure. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. It exceeded my expectations in every way.

It was peaceful, clean, and the service was amazing, with fantastic, friendly staff. Helena Studios also has a bar and is close to restaurants and supermarkets. I loved seeing the kittens and cats around the place. A lovely spot to stay in Kefelonia!

We stayed at Helena Studios in May 2025 and really enjoyed it. Helena and the staff do a great job keeping the rooms and grounds clean, tidy, and comfortable. It’s a peaceful retreat in a village-like countryside setting among olive groves and tavernas, close to the airport and a short walk from two lovely beaches. Helena Studios and Apartments would suit you if that’s what you’re after.
