Hotel Nireus is run by a family, with the restaurant downstairs and rooms above. The staff were super friendly and welcoming. The recently renovated rooms are modest in size, clean and modern, with the basics provided, comfortable beds and spectacular views. Since it’s right on the harbour, you get amazing water views without having to climb winding stairs. The buffet is respectable, with fresh, well-prepared food. The selection is limited, but the basics are there and done well. Downstairs, there’s indoor, terrace and waterside dining, plus a bar with comfortable seating and a great outlook. Sunbeds are available along the water too. We highly recommend staying here.

The view looked great, so during our day trip to Symi Island we decided to eat at this cafe-restaurant. After we ordered, a waitress came back 15 minutes later to ask if we’d ordered. We waited another five minutes, then left hungry because she hadn’t brought our food.

The room was clean, the location was great and the staff were super friendly. You can get the sun lounger price reduced from €25 to €20 if you spend at the bar.

This gorgeous hotel is right on the waterfront, and the view from our room was spectacular. We were lucky to spend a few days there. The location makes it easy to walk along the quaint harbourfront to dozens of great restaurants. A real gem.

The balcony had a stunning view, and our room was clean, tidy and well stocked. The staff at Nireus were helpful and accommodating throughout our fabulous stay. I’m looking forward to coming back to the hotel and the beautiful island of Symi. Thanks to the staff!
