Sunrise Beach Suites

The breakfast wasn’t great, and the beds were hard as rocks. There’s no wifi in the rooms or outlets in the bathroom, which feels absurd when you’re paying a good amount to stay here. The shower is dangerously tiny. I slipped and nearly fell several times, and left for another accommodation because I didn’t want to risk a lifelong injury by staying any longer. I’d look elsewhere on the island. There are many better places to stay for less.

We left after just one night, even though we'd paid for three, and the hotel wouldn't refund us. I'm still trying to sort it out through the booking platform. The bathroom was a big part of why we left: the shower stall was tiny and so slippery that my daughter nearly fell. It felt dangerous, and I didn't want to risk someone getting badly hurt. The beds were rock hard, including the even harder sofa bed, and we could barely sleep. I've only encountered mattresses like that at a tiny place in Laos that cost USD10 a night. Here the rate was €140 per night. There was no Wi-Fi in the rooms, only in the office, despite what the property advertised. We also weren't told at check-in that there was no safe drinking water in the rooms. Cleaning staff knocked over my contact lenses on the bathroom counter and ruined them. And there were no bathroom outlets.

We had a lovely room and an amazing view. The host was so nice and even helped with our special request for room decorations. I'd recommend it to a couple or a family.

The pool lounge felt like something from a movie, and drinks at the pool bar were only 3€ while pizzas were 5£. It was quiet and really inexpensive, too. The hotel is a five-minute walk from the beach and a five-minute drive from the main city. Our room was beautiful, super clean, and had a great balcony view. Breakfast was amazing, and the staff were phenomenal and so friendly. I was really impressed. Thanks for a wonderful stay. I loved the island and the city!
