Alexandra Beach Thassos Spa Resort

The young restaurant team at breakfast and dinner were especially lovely: kind, welcoming, friendly, and hardworking. They made us feel appreciated and comfortable every day. The whole hotel was beautiful, clean, and well organized. We have no complaints. Thanks for the great hospitality.

We liked the location close to Potos center, the free on-site parking, and the two pools, kids' pool, and two small playgrounds. Those facilities are a real plus for families. But cleanliness and upkeep let the hotel down. Room cleaning was hit or miss: towels weren't always changed even when left on the floor, toilet paper wasn't replenished promptly, and the terrace was barely cleaned. Once, soda had been emptied onto the bathroom floor and left to dry, which was shocking. The bathroom drain was clogged when we arrived and wasn't fixed until the next day. Breakfast was very basic and identical every day. The coffee machines made “espresso” from instant coffee, with no proper Greek coffee or even filter coffee available. The pool area needs much better cleaning too, especially around the kids' pool, where there was a strong urine smell. Poolside food was okay, but clearly overpriced. The location and facilities are nice, but the poor cleaning and lack of attention to detail really affected our stay.

The lobby displays some interesting ancient artifacts, and the whole hotel is thoughtfully designed and well maintained. We had a spacious, nicely designed deluxe room with a sea view and everything we needed. It was clean, and the housekeeping team did an amazing job. The beach and other areas were clean and cozy too. Food was excellent, with enough variety each day that it didn't get boring. We especially liked having some Greek food every day. The restaurant and bar staff were helpful and friendly, and the good mood was contagious. Drinks and food outside half board felt well worth the price. We definitely plan to return, especially out of season. Highly recommend.

We particularly enjoyed being here during the quieter period, and we'd gladly come back. Our rooms were spacious, comfortable, and clean. The food had excellent quality and plenty of choice, and the dining room team worked so hard. At every breakfast and evening meal, Florentina greeted us warmly and was always friendly. Most evenings, Sofia looked after and served us, and she was lovely too. We're just coming to the end of a very enjoyable stay at this beautiful hotel.
