Elaion Terra Boutique Guesthouse

Elaion Terra was a wonderful place to stay. The village is peaceful enough for a relaxing break, with shops and taverns around for the evenings. Our cosy room was spotless, and breakfast was all fresh regional food, with far more than we could eat. The hospitality is huge too: we asked for two glasses for our ouzo and ended up being offered snacks as well.

Athena, the landlady, was always happy to answer our questions about the island. We loved how quickly the welcoming atmosphere helped us settle in and enjoy our holiday on Thassos. Mornings started with a fresh, delicious breakfast, and our spacious room was very clean. From the balcony we looked out over walnut, pomegranate, fig and olive trees. Theologos is peaceful, with history and nature to explore, and a bit of breeze after a long beach day.

Mrs Athina was so polite and helped us with everything we needed. The daily breakfast was amazing, with handmade pies and a different menu each day. The hotel is brand new, fully equipped and beautifully decorated, and the rooms look straight out of a home magazine. Everything was very clean when we arrived and was cleaned well each day. The view from our room was incredible, and Theologos village was a great quiet spot for a family holiday. Highly recommended!

The staff were so kind and generous, and the rich, delicious breakfast was a highlight. Theologos is up in the mountains, so it’s cooler during Thassos’s hot summer, while the sea is still close enough if you take the bus or drive. I’d definitely stay here again.
