Bahar Boutique Hotel

After checkout, €300 was taken from our card for a supposedly broken TV, which they said they found hours later. This happened without us there, without evidence, and without our consent. It feels highly suspicious and is completely unacceptable. The rooms were tiny, dirty, worn, and already had visible defects when we arrived. Staff were rude and gave misleading information. They also charged extra for coffee and water that should have come with breakfast. I can't recommend this hotel. If you decide to stay, document the room carefully at check-in or you could be charged for damage you didn't cause.

The location was fairly good, but the noise was extremely loud, and we had to leave one of our two rooms a day early. We had booked both rooms for New Year's Eve, from December 30 to January 2. They were very small, the hygiene was poor, one toilet seat was broken, and the furniture was visibly dirty and worn. Staff were unfriendly, and they kept charging extra for coffee and water that should have been part of breakfast. The problems with the room we left began after checkout. The guest left at 9:00 a.m. and stayed for breakfast until 9:40. Nobody told him there was any issue. At 10:37, I got a call about the minibar. We didn't dispute that charge and paid it. At 10:54, they called about a jacket he'd forgotten. I said I'd send someone to collect it and thanked them. Then, at 11:30, they called again, this time saying the TV was broken and demanding 300 euros. It had supposedly been discovered more than two and a half hours after the room was vacated, which makes the accusation very dubious. They took the 300 euros from my card without my consent. I don't recommend staying here. If you do, inspect the room very carefully at check-in and report even the smallest damage or irregularity, or you could be charged for something you didn't cause or even know about.

I loved the small touches that gave the rooms so much character. They were stylish, cozy, and elegant, and the welcome felt warm from the moment I arrived. The hotel has a lovely boutique feel, with personal service that made me feel at home. Two of the rooms I stayed in had open bathrooms, so that setup may suit solo travellers or a couple or close friends who don't mind sharing an open space. Breakfast was fresh and beautifully presented, with plenty of options. It's partly self-service, plus one hot dish chosen from the menu. The poached eggs were my favourite. Staff were professional, friendly, and always ready with a recommendation or a hand. The location was peaceful but still a short walk from the places I wanted to explore. Bahar feels like a special little escape, and I can't wait to return.

The team at Bahar Boutique Hotel were so kind and made us feel at home. It's right in the center, with lots of restaurants nearby, and the breakfast was outstanding. They also gave us great tips for Thessaloniki and the beaches in Halkidiki. We'll definitely be back!
