We noticed how filthy and poorly kept the apartment was and asked for our money back. The host suggested cleaning, but when I asked whether we’d get new pillows and mattresses too, he became rude. He said we’d already canceled and couldn’t review him, so that was perfect for him, and he kept the money. He denied the apartment’s condition until I sent photos, then claimed everything was tip-top and blamed me. He still wouldn’t refund us and posted on Booking that we hadn’t arrived and the booking was canceled. The place was disgusting from the moment we entered, with an unpleasant smell, floor stains, and a dirty table. The sofa bed had yellow stains and burn holes; the mattresses looked and smelled like they’d been picked up off the street. Pillows and bed covers were yellow-stained and smelled bad too. All the glasses in the kitchen cupboard were stained and still wet, probably used, and the coffee machine was calcified. There was only a bucket on the balcony for the AC water, already so full I emptied it because I thought it might overflow into the apartment. The AC remote was so dirty I didn’t want to touch it. My friends were bitten by something after sitting on the couch for less than 10 minutes, so I suspect bed bugs. The shower head has seen better days, too. I would not recommend this apartment at all. The Booking reviews seem good because the landlord excludes bad ones and cancels the option to review.

Everything was spotless, the view was great, and the place had all we needed. It’s a cosy, comfortable spot for a stopover or a few days in Thessaloniki. The host was friendly and the instructions were precise. I’d be happy to come back.

The apartment needs serious maintenance. The shower button was missing, water leaked from every side, and the hot water lasted only a few minutes before turning into a cold shower. The elevator seemed ancient, made worrying noises as it moved, and was very slow. The TV's Chromecast kept disconnecting, and sometimes someone else seemed to control the volume. The owner accused us of having a party while my girlfriend and I were quietly watching a movie, then said we had broken into a cupboard that had been open during our stay. The host told us she would stop us from entering the country unless we changed our review. I'd look elsewhere.

We booked the Convenient apartment, and it was filthy. There was moldy bread left by the previous guests in the kitchen cupboards, the floor hadn't been mopped, and the shower head looked as if it had never been cleaned. The pillows were yellow with sweat, the mattress was disgusting, and the sofa bed had stains and burn holes. At 6 p.m. the host casually offered to send a cleaner. When we asked whether she would bring a new mattress and bedding too, he said the booking was canceled and that we could no longer review him. You can only book without canceling, and now we understand why. Reviews only count on Booking.com, but if you cancel there, you lose the option to leave one. Don't book.
