That was a miserable three days, and I was counting down until I could leave. I wouldn't stay there again. The only reason for the stars is the location at Aristotelous square, close to everything. It was expensive for what you got, and the apartment, Morpheus, sat in a backyard between buildings where it was always dark. Even with the porch door open, hardly any daylight came in. I had to check in between 16.30 and 16.50 because the cleaners weren't ready. That wasn't too bad, since I left my suitcase and went exploring. But once the cleaning products' smell faded, the room had a strong, stale, mildew-like odor. I'm quite allergic to that, and you could see paint peeling off the walls in several spots. The bed was meant to be a queen, but was actually two small singles joined by a sheet. The two pillows were child-sized. I asked Halu, and their colleague brought two regular ones the next day. The TV remote didn't work, though that didn't really bother me since I was usually out or on my phone. I never checked the Wi-Fi instructions, which were supposed to be on the kitchen table, because I had unlimited data. The bathroom was tiny, dated and moldy, probably one of the worst I've seen. It didn't make you want to shower. The insulation was just as bad. You could hear everything outside the door, and the upstairs neighbors were unbearable. The whole place shook, especially the ceiling lamp, as if robots were walking above. It went on until 2-3 o'clock, so you could get up early for round two. Halu's management was decent. I'd been in touch with them about another property they manage, where I'd stayed before and after the Nephele studio.
Good.
A lovely place.
We asked around and found excellent places for the same price in the same area, so this one was disappointing. The place was very dark, and the balcony was barely big enough for a mop bucket. Some lights didn't work. The two single beds pushed together split apart in the middle while we slept. The air conditioner could only be switched on and off at the electrical panel, not with its control. There was mold in the bathroom joints and a bad smell. Towels were scarce for a three-day stay, and the TV didn't work.
I’m truly sorry, but this was one of the worst experiences I could have had.
