The mattresses were comfortable, and most of the room was fairly clean, though the headboard was dusty. But the noise was the biggest problem. A bar or club across the street played loud music until 2 a.m., and I could hear people fumbling with their keycards to get in. There was little insulation overall; sitting on the bed, I could feel the cold from the window about 1.5 meters away. The Wi-Fi was weak, shower pressure was low though the sink was fine, and the handheld shower head holder was broken. There was barely room in the bathroom for basics like toothpaste, a toothbrush and wipes. The towel hooks were directly above the toilet, so if a towel slipped it would land in the bowl, and there was nowhere else to hang them. The curtain was broken and partly off its rail. In the kitchen, one of the tea bags was already open. I tried calling the owner in the morning about the noise and to ask whether we could move rooms, but he didn't answer. Later, when I saw him going out and gave feedback, he showed no empathy or offer of a solution, and his tone felt ironic. The woman who asked us about it on our last day was polite and seemed genuinely interested. I could have let the other issues go, but club music until 2 a.m. is a deal breaker for me. I won't return.
