Sea & the City

We had a really good stay here with our two daughters. The sofa opened into a large, comfortable bed, and the main bed was especially comfortable and luxurious. The apartment was clean, practical, and nicely arranged, with a jacuzzi and a full kitchen, though we mostly used the coffee machine. Double windows helped keep out street noise, but could be opened all the way. The host was attentive and let us stay until late in the evening for a small fee when we needed extra time. It’s right by the harbor promenade, close to the tavern lanes and nightclubs, and about 300 meters from the shopping street running parallel to the avenue.

The apartment is spacious, well equipped, and has a wide view across the harbor and sea. It’s near the party strip, so Friday and Saturday nights can get noisy. We were glad the landlord had left earplugs.

I can’t comment on the apartment itself, which may well be great. I had booked one night, arriving September 6, but around 8 pm a large demonstration led police to close off the whole area between the harbor and the Fair center. Ekatemerini covered it extensively. Even after speaking with the police, I couldn’t get near the apartments or leave my car and walk the rest of the way. I ended up finding a hotel near the airport and got there after midnight. The owner refused my request for a refund despite what seemed like an obvious force majeure situation. They must have known how badly traffic was affected that day, and I was disappointed by their response.

The place is new, and the host was friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything. We were very happy with our stay and would definitely come back. Thanks so much!
