Tiepolo Galleria Palatina

I paid 450 euros for a stay I never got to use. The booking, arranged through a travel agency, was for September 8 to September 11. We were due to arrive in Thessaloniki at 20:00, flying from Heraklion via Athens, but a delay out of Heraklion made us miss the connection. We took the next flight and got in at 22:30. Since check-in was listed as 15:00 to 21:00, we contacted the hotel about the delay. We suggested that the owner give the key to a colleague of ours in Thessaloniki, who could go straight to the accommodation. He refused that and instead offered to have an associate hand over the key for an extra 100 euros. We were unhappy about paying another 100 euros for a delay outside our control, so we asked to cancel. He said he could no longer deal with us because he had 25 rooms and limited time. He said he would refund the 450 euros we had originally paid to the agency, but the refund never came through. The room we had booked and paid for was probably rented to other guests.
