The handmade breakfast was a highlight, rooted in Greek tradition, and the team brought a real warmth to the stay. Caravan sits in the historic center, just steps from the metro. The beautifully restored neoclassical building has vintage style alongside a lively modern feel, with thoughtful design details throughout. It feels more like a stylish, soulful home than a hotel. If you want personality, charm and great taste, this is one of the brightest gems in the city.

I first stayed at The Caravan for work, then came back with my family for a holiday. The rooms and apartments are nice, and the place is comfortable, well located and has a great atmosphere. Elli was flexible with my booking, which made everything easy and smooth. A really good place to stay. Highly recommended, and I'd happily return.

We were kept awake by very loud street and bar noise until 4 a.m., then cleaning staff woke us at 8. We politely asked to leave early because the conditions made sleep impossible, and offered to pay in full for that sleepless night while requesting a refund for the remaining nights. They showed us another room, but it was twice as noisy, with loud ventilation right outside the windows. Even so, they charged us for an extra night because of that “alternative.” The customer service was very bad. A hotel should refund guests when it can't provide a habitable place to sleep, and take responsibility for poor noise insulation and the sleep people lost.

I visited as a coffee shop and thought it was lovely, whether you're on your own or with a group. I can imagine the hotel being nice too.

This might be fine for brunch, but I wouldn't book a room here. None of the three room locations let you sleep well: rooms facing Egnatia Street get nonstop traffic noise, side-facing ones still hear that traffic along with nearby bars, and the rooms at the back get intense noise from the ventilation system. Every room is extremely noisy, making a good night's sleep impossible. 😔
