Irina Beach Hotel

The hotel is very quiet, with little nearby, though there’s a bus stop outside and the bus to Tingaki takes 10 minutes. It was an easy, peaceful stay, and we’ve booked again for next year. The bus also helped us get around, and the receptionist booked tours for us. The owners are lovely people who’ve worked hard to make this the best hotel we’ve stayed at, with amazing staff. We arrived late at night in September, but the staff still greeted us with smiles and helped us. Our room was modern, with a beautiful bathroom, spotlessly clean and stocked with plenty of towels. They were changed every two days, and the room was cleaned daily. Breakfast had a good choice of sweet and savoury food. The woman taking care of breakfast deserves special mention: working alone, she kept everything replenished and cleared tables without stopping smiling, and greeted us warmly each morning. The pool was very clean, with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas, and no scramble for loungers. There’s a lovely pool bar with amazing food. The hotel has its own beach with a few sunbeds and beautiful views. It offers bed and breakfast, but you can buy dinner at the restaurant. Everything is cooked fresh, there’s plenty of choice, and the chef is flexible about changing dishes. The waiter who worked every evening was friendly and helpful. A practical tip: bring a tea towel, dishcloth and washing-up liquid, and your own pool and beach towels. Kiara the dog was the star of our stay, adorable and so well behaved. The hotel is closed from October to May.
