Jonathan Studio Apartments

The apartment was ideal for our family of four, me, my husband and our two boys. Jonathan and his wife are kind, friendly and very hard-working. We were impressed by the daily room service. Even if we’d rushed out and left the bedroom messy, we’d come back to find it spotless. The toilet was clean, and while the furniture showed some wear, it was clean and functional. There are two well-maintained pools open 24/7, and sunbeds were always available. The location is great: the long ocean beach is only a few steps away, supermarkets are a 3-5 minute walk, and the clubs and party areas are 10 minutes away. I’d recommend Jonathan’s apartment for a holiday.

I wanted two weeks to relax by the pool or walk to the beach, and this quieter side of Tigaki worked well, though the town centre is a decent walk after dinner or a night out. The pool area was great and never felt crowded, even though I think every room was occupied. The bar and snack area offers breakfast and lunch if you don’t want to eat in the apartments. They have the usual basics, a microwave, kettle, toaster and camp-style hob, and the shower had plenty of hot water. I travelled solo at the end of August and was made to feel welcome, which really added to the stay. My room was spacious, with a huge firm bed, free air-con and free use of the safe. Rooms are cleaned daily except Sunday. Tip: pay the tourist tax early to avoid the hassle, and ask about a later checkout if you’re flying home after midnight, as I did. I enjoyed my holiday here.

Kristina and Misos were kind, relaxed and helpful, and had no problem moving us from the first room, which was near the pool but didn’t get morning sun, to another we loved. There were no hidden charges for air-conditioning or the room safe. Clean towels and sheets were provided daily or as needed. The room was clean, with a very good mattress, and had a fridge, hot plate, coffee machine, toaster, and enough pots and pans for two. The shower was great, though it runs cool without sunshine. We had bikes, making the 10-minute ride to town easy, and Kos town was a pleasant, fairly flat 30 minutes away. The beach is lovely, 120 metres across the main coast road, with nice sand, water and shallows, but passing traffic means it isn’t silent. The island and Turkey made a lovely view. There’s a small pool bar with simple snacks and very good wifi throughout. The pool was a little cool but usable up to mid-October. We loved our apartment and would return in a heartbeat.

The caretakers are very friendly and helpful, just ask if you need anything. These lovely apartments are right by the beach, only a few steps from the door, and we liked the beach even more than the pool. There are one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments, each with a small kitchen, a shower bathroom and a balcony. I can absolutely recommend staying here.
