Ilios & Farming Hotel

A peaceful, relaxing place in a quiet area away from the main street, with no evening entertainment. My only gripe is that they don’t replenish the coffee in the room.

The food was good, and there was a nice range of drinks in the all-inclusive package. It’s a clean, good hotel. Dimitra at reception does a very good job and deserves a raise. We’ll book again if we return to Kos.

The rooms aren’t furnished to the newest standard, but they’re clean and reasonably priced. I loved having breakfast on the balcony with that stunning view, and there’s a shop on site with all the essentials. With two pools, finding a free sunbed wasn’t a worry. The whole area is clean and very nicely maintained, the food is delicious, and the hotel staff are wonderful: always friendly, smiling and ready to help.

The beach is nearby, and the hotel offered a convenient bus transfer since the walk can feel long. Beach sunbeds cost extra; we paid about 10 euros for two for the day. At check-in, we paid 70 euros in hotel tax for one room and one week. We also spent 50 euros on late checkout, which was worth it. We paid around 600 euros per person including flights, so it felt like very good value. We celebrated a birthday during our stay and got an unexpected gift from the hotel, such a kind gesture. The photos don’t really show how nice the place is. We came in expecting little after reading negative reviews, but found them very exaggerated. The atmosphere was calm, with families, older guests, couples and young people. Staff were incredibly friendly, helping with recommendations and a taxi booking, and making us drinks at the bar. The all-inclusive offering was basic but had what we needed. One thing we hadn’t realized: bring your own pool and beach towels. We bought an inexpensive one at the shop next door. Large water bottles are handy too, since you can refill them at the pool bar and restaurant. We thought the meals had a good mix of main dishes, plus salads, pasta and sauces. The mains changed each time. If you don’t eat pork, your options shrink, though you won’t go hungry. We also really liked the desserts, which we don’t often find at other all-inclusive hotels.
