Pallada Rooms

The air conditioning worked great, and breakfast had some nice little touches.

The place looks wonderful, with lovely aesthetics and clear attention to detail. Our room was spotless, comfortable and well cared for, with everything we needed. The owners were warm and hospitable, always ready to help, and made us feel at home right away. An experience we’ll remember and choose again. 10/10 🤍 I’d recommend it without hesitation 👌🤍

We only stayed one day, and spent half of it chasing the owner about the toilet. He wasn’t there, so we could only reach him by phone. He kept saying it wasn’t broken, just that there was a problem with a pipe. Luckily, they did fix it. But it wasn’t usable, and if he knew there was an issue, why hadn’t he fixed it? The room was nice and in a very good location, but it hadn’t been vacuumed beside my bed, with a bit of something left underneath. What really shocked us was that there wasn’t even a small bottle of shampoo or shower gel, or a bar of soap to wash our hands. At least the soap holder was there, thank God. What a shame, because the room had a lot going for it.

We were three girls in the Athena Pallada room for three nights. The host helped with our luggage on arrival and said to call or message him if we needed anything. At first glance the room seemed fine, but it didn’t match the photos we’d seen beforehand. It was clean and the furniture was okay. The bathroom tap was broken, and there was no screen on the window, which we thought was important. The room felt humid, though it was humid across the island too. There were large garbage bags left on a table right by the spot where we were meant to eat breakfast and have coffee. We were told to give a day’s notice if we wanted cleaning, which seemed strange since the room should be cleaned anyway. At minimum, we expected basic things like rubbish removal and fresh toiletries, daily or every other day. We gave notice, but nobody came. We called the host when we realized, and got neither a clear explanation nor an apology. Since we were leaving the next morning, cleaning then would have been pointless. At 120€ a night, even in August, the room wasn’t worth the price. The photos and actual room were quite different, there was no breakfast, and it was a basic, unrenovated room with several shortcomings. Hygiene matters, especially when there aren’t extra amenities and the price is high. The host may say we were charged 100€ in the end, but even that was a lot. We were on vacation and didn’t want to spoil our mood.
