The owner was very polite and gave us a ride both to and from the port. The apartments were lovely and clean, though they’re about a 10-minute walk from the center.

The balcony is the strongest part of the stay: it looks out over the Aegean, and you can watch ships come and go at the port. The room view, though, was poor, looking onto neighboring land. The property sits near central Tinos rather than in the center itself, and you can walk into town. It was sparkling clean, with cleaning every morning unless we asked them not to. Our room was a decent size, with a kitchenette suitable for making a proper meal, and there’s free private parking on the property. The setting, with animals and fish, was nice, and the hosts were OK. The shared balcony setup caught me off guard. Depending on where your room is, you may have to walk past other rooms and people eating or sunbathing to reach it. That wasn’t clear on Booking, and I prefer rooms that are self-contained. I could manage it for a few days, but would have wanted to know beforehand. The furniture was old, including the desk and wardrobe. We used the kitchenette but found no kitchen towel or paper for wiping up, and the dish sponge was very worn. When I mentioned it, the woman brought a kitchen towel, but its condition wasn’t acceptable to me. She said there should be one towel per room, but that paper rolls weren’t provided. There were no wine glasses, which was a shame with a balcony and kitchenette, so we bought two ourselves. We also found a broken powerline adapter, particularly concerning with a small child there. Some smaller issues: the toilet cistern took a long time to refill, the bathroom door was hard to close, and the narrow cement road into the property could be improved. The road and the poor room view weren’t deal breakers, and may not be the owners’ fault. I’d recommend the place if you’re comfortable with these points. Given the price and what we found, I’d rate it 3.5 stars. In reply to the response, I try to be fair and mention both the good and the bad. The furniture is old, full stop. I never criticized the area, and even said the rooms were quite big. What Booking left out was the little detail that I’d have to pass by neighboring balconies to get to my room. The sea view from the balcony is awesome, but the bedroom view of the adjacent land is really bad. I asked for kitchen paper and was told no. I don’t understand why wine glasses could be removed due to Covid while ordinary glasses were still there. When people go on holiday, they want to relax, and I don’t think I should have to spend time looking for someone to ask for things. Everything should be as it should be. Before Tinos, we visited a nearby island and paid a bit less; that stay was unforgettable. I gave it five stars while still mentioning what could improve. In Tinos, we felt we paid more than we should have for what we got. In fact, everything in Tinos seemed overpriced, with a lot of hype. My suggestion is to read the reviews and try to improve. I still gave 3.5 stars and recommended the place. Be well!

The room was spacious, with a small kitchenette that had enough for an average stay. The property is just outside Tinos town, among gardens where the owner's chickens wander. The woman in charge kindly collected us from the ferry and drove us back. It’s a short walk to town, where there’s a small bus station and lots of very good tavernas.

Nikos, the owner, was always there when we needed him. The place was comfortable and clean, and a great base for visiting Tinos!
