Hotel Thetis

The owners and staff made my extended stay at Hotel Thetis feel easy and welcoming. Kostas, Vasilis and Vasilkis were always around to help, answer questions, or offer useful recommendations, and I felt right at home. I’d happily return next summer. Being in the center of Tolo meant I could walk to the beach and pretty much everywhere else, then come back to a quiet, comfortable hotel. My room had all the amenities I needed, and the views were beautiful. Watching the sunrise each morning was magical. Breakfast was delicious and had a surprising amount of variety. As an American, I thought the food quality was excellent. I’d recommend it to anyone wanting an enjoyable, authentic stay in Tolo.

For just 4 euro more per day, my friends got room 24, a double across the hall, and I really wish I’d booked one too. Their room was much bigger, with a couch, a larger shower, and a spacious balcony overlooking the beach and pool. I had room 20, a single with a view of the crappy backyard. We paid 150 euro for five nights, while they paid 171 euro for the same period. Both rooms had a small TV and fridge, plus air conditioning. The pool was very clean and open from 10 to 22 hrs, with loungers nearby and a bar selling beer for 3 euro. The beach is an easy walk, and the friendly staff even printed our boarding papers for free. They changed the towels daily and provided shampoo or shower gel when needed. They also cleaned up any sand in the room. Breakfast was included and good, with bread, cereal, tomatoes, fruit, cookies, and coffee. It’s a budget-friendly option in Tolo, but even if you’re traveling alone, I’d pay the small extra amount for a double room.

I spent 10 nights here for work and found it fantastic. The staff are more than friendly, flexible, and never make things stressful. They put their heart into what they do. Don’t hesitate, it’s a good spot for families too.

I only stopped by for coffee with friends and so the kids could use the pool. It seemed clean and pleasant, like a small family hotel, and it’s near Tolo beach, restaurants, and cafes.
