The owner, Dimitris, and his family were warm and ready to help whenever we needed something. Our room faced the most wonderful beach on the Aegean Sea, though half the rooms look onto the promenade instead. Getting to the water was almost effortless. Hotel Tolo is 3-4 meters from the beach, and there’s a small, walkable gap on the building’s right side. We’d step outside, turn left, walk less than a meter, go down the stairs, and be straight into the Aegean Sea. Amazing hotel!

Our room was roomy and practical, and the location right above the sea was amazing. The host treated us very well. Breakfast was perfectly fine for the price, especially since it wasn’t high season yet.

The staff were great, the place was clean, and breakfast was very good. The view is the reason to come. Sleeping was another matter: the mattresses were the hardest I’ve experienced, and the air conditioning is preset so it won’t go below 25c. When it’s hot, that makes for an uncomfortable night. I can’t recommend it if a good night’s sleep is what you’re after.

The seaside position gave us a perfect view from the room, and the old building has been renovated, so it’s in decent shape. The bed was quite hard, though, and the Wi-Fi didn’t work in our room. Breakfast was average, with some food cold despite the heating equipment. If you don’t arrive early, there often isn’t much left to choose from.

We used Hotel Tolo as a base for seeing the Peloponnese, and Tolo worked well for that. During our 10 nights in July 2024, the staff were welcoming and helped with all our questions. We were five people, with one room for two and another for three. Both were comfortable, with enough space for all our beach things. The rooms were clean, and we enjoyed the delicious breakfast every morning.
