Mesogeios Hotel

The apartments are nice, with a good view right by the sea. The hotel is next to Lagkouvardos beach, and there’s a path for walking down to it. The cleaning staff were very kind and did their jobs perfectly; service at the restaurant and bar was good as well. Food quality was good and prices were low. The pool area also drew plenty of people from outside the hotel, mostly families with children, who came to eat and swim. Breakfast had a wide selection but the quality wasn’t good. Vicky at reception was rude and had bad manners, which spoiled the atmosphere in the breakfast area. There were also a few broken things visible in the rooms.

The restaurant food is delicious, and I was surprised to find vegan options. The location is good, the pool is very nice, and the service is the best. My brother celebrated his wedding there, and we arrived a couple of days early to relax before it. Highly recommended, it’s really worth the price.

We only visited the outdoor cafe and restaurant and used the swimming pool, we didn’t stay at the hotel. It’s a great place for families, with a full bar and good coffee, Frappés, ice cream, wine and mixed drinks. The Cretian cheese pie with honey and sesame was worth recommending, and the pork chop (brizole) was very good. I’d also highly recommend the schnitzel. Prices are only a little higher than places in town, and I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Totally worth it. We’ll be back next time we’re in town.

There’s a nice sandy beach nearby, and the pool is pleasant, though it has too much chlorine. Breakfast was okay but pretty basic. The rooms have all the necessary amenities and the quality is good for the price, but they have a distinct smell.
