A good hotel.

My wife and I were very happy with our stay. The apartment is excellent, has all the amenities, and offers the quiet that people need. We’ll choose Open City Hotel again on our next trips to Tripoli, and we recommend it without hesitation.

The location is close to the center, but the alley felt very dark and scary, especially at night. The building and apartments were old, neglected, and dirty. The parking he had promised was an overgrown plot in the next alley, with grass half a meter high, fit only for sheep. I took a private parking spot instead. We’d booked six days. For the first two, there was no internet at all, and one TV remote was broken. He replaced it late at night. He blamed internet work, but that was a fairy tale. On day three, after we complained strongly, he moved us to another apartment that did have internet, so much for those supposed works. But the TVs there didn’t work because of faulty wiring. I asked him to come fix them that afternoon and I’m still waiting. We ended up sorting it out ourselves late at night. We spent the remaining three nights feeling uneasy. The cleaner never came during our six days. At one point we had to look for her just to get two rolls of toilet paper. A very bad stay, and the owner is nowhere near being a professional. I could write much more. We had a lot of trouble, guys, with the press. He was selling seaweed as silk ribbons. Stay away! Thank you for confirming what I accused you of. I hope YOU can prove that what you call untrue and slanderous is actually so.

In 2025, it’s a shame to encounter tourism “professionals” like this. We arrived to find the wrong apartment, smaller than the one we’d paid for. The manager gave us 20 minutes of childish excuses instead of apologizing. After we negotiated, he offered another apartment on the upper floor with the same size as the one we were given, but with two single beds. A joke. He’s the worst manager I’ve ever come across. I’m sorry. Edit: These profiles aren’t fake. Since you’ve slandered us, we’ll appeal to booking and have them measure the “65” square meter apartment you’re advertising. Let’s see how that goes.
