Contessina Suites and Spa

We were upgraded to a gorgeous swim-up pool room, which was a lovely extra for our holiday. The hotel itself was beautiful, and the staff were excellent and so helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for everything!

We loved how attentive the team were without hovering. They were easy to find whenever we needed them, and the restaurant and reception staff treated us so kindly. Asid, Nikoleta, Alex (aka John😉), Amos, and the rest of the restaurant crew were brilliant. The Chef was amazing too, and the food smelled incredible. We really enjoyed the à la carte dinners. It was also lovely to have fruit and drinks brought to us by the pool. The hotel was modern and clean throughout, and our room was very nice and clean as well. From the moment we arrived, it felt like the start of a great stay. The downside was the external spa company. We booked the daily free indoor pool swim and sauna session through reception just once, to be fair to other guests, but when we arrived they had given our slot to someone else. Staff then told us to book directly with the spa, since they would override hotel reception bookings. It was frustrating that they didn’t honor a booking made through the hotel that provides their facilities. The spa also called rooms several times a day to promote bookings. Sitting by the main pool, we could hear phones ringing one room after another, and even other guests laughed about it. We understand they’re trying to get business, but it felt inconsiderate and made it hard to relax, especially for anyone unwell or napping. Even with that frustrating spa experience, we’d happily recommend this fantastic, clean, modern hotel. We’re very grateful to the rest of the team for a wonderful stay.

We loved the boutique feel and adults-only setting, and the location was ideal for walking to cafes, shops and the beach. Our private pool suite was spacious and having our own pool was great, especially since the resort pool can get busy during the day. The front office staff were so helpful, nothing was ever a problem, and we appreciated that they genuinely wanted to know how the resort could improve. We’ll miss being there.

A calm, clean, posh place that worked really well for a romantic break. We both enjoyed it so much that we’re already talking about returning next year, and we’d strongly recommend it. The breakfast buffet had everything we needed and more, and the coffee was the best we’ve had in Greece despite visiting many times. The breakfast staff were professional, friendly and service minded; the cleaning team were kind and thorough too. Maria, the guest hostess, was very helpful, as was everyone at reception. Thanks to Emilia for the lovely ideas of things to do. After checkout I left something behind in the room. Reception contacted us, talked through options, and the hotel driver brought it to the airport. That was very professional.
