Dinos Hotel

We were worried about the hotel being far out before booking, but there was no need. From the back, it’s only a four-minute walk down to Bowl Em Over, where the main part of Tsilivi starts. We had an excellent holiday, would stay again, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. The family who run the hotel are all really friendly. They gave us a welcome drink and explained everything. It’s excellent value for money, very clean throughout, with daily room cleaning and fresh sheets and towels. There was no trouble getting a sunbed during our first week, and nobody reserved them. Towards the end, a few selfish people started putting towels on beds before breakfast and not using them for ages. Then others followed, which spoiled things. I don’t want to join a race for sunbeds. Breakfast had a decent range: different breads, two cereals, ham, cheese, fruit, yogurt, croissant, fried eggs, bacon, hot dog-style sausages, mushrooms, and baked beans. There was also a daily special, such as Greek-style donut, eggy bread, or cheese parcels, plus homemade cakes and biscuits, coffee, tea, milk, and juices. The daytime snack menu was tasty and reasonably priced, with pizzas, burgers, toasties, sandwiches, and chips. You can order traditional-style dishes for dinner too. We didn’t eat dinner here, but lots of people did. We paid tourist tax of 5 euro per day, air conditioning was 9 euro per day, which was much needed at this time of year, and the safe was 20 euro for the week.

The owners were always around, smiling, saying hello, and asking how you were. The atmosphere was really chilled and relaxing, and there was always a sunbed free around the pool. We’d definitely try to stay here again. It’s a lovely hotel in a quiet part of Tsilivi, about 10 minutes’ walk from the main restaurants, bars, and shops, and also 10 minutes from the beach. We got more welcome drink than we needed when we arrived, then were shown to our room. The rooms are basic but very clean, with a fridge and mini freezer, kettle, mugs, and spoons. Not sure if all rooms have sea views, but ours had a corner balcony on the 3rd floor and we could see the sea. Rooms were cleaned daily, and linen and towels changed either daily or every other day. Breakfast had tea, coffee, water, juice, continental items like bread, ham, cheese, yogurt, muesli, and jams. Hot choices included bacon, eggs, beans, hot dog-style sausages, and a toaster machine. There were daily variations too, like small croissants, doughnut balls with honey, or delicious eggy bread. We stayed 9 nights. The safe deposit box was 20 euros and air conditioning was 9 euros a day, definitely needed in August. The bar serves food and drinks. We only tried a snack, so can’t comment on the bigger meals. Small beers were 4 euros and large ones 5 euros.

The service was a real highlight. Vicky, Anna, and Angela were always smiling and so helpful, and the cleaning lady kept the rooms very tidy and clean. Above expectations, and I’d easily stay another week. I can only highly recommend it. This family-run hotel is in a great spot, far enough from the buzz and fuzz in Tsilivi to feel peaceful, but only a 5-minute walk from it. The rooms are big and the balcony has a great view. They’re well equipped too, with a hairdryer, air conditioning, TV, fridge, and electric kettle.

We had a week of relaxation, and met some lovely people who had stayed at the hotel the year before. The family are so lovely, friendly, and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble, and all the food was delicious. When we arrived, we felt very special and were welcomed with lovely drinks. I’d highly recommend staying here and hope to return xxx
