Tsamis Zante Suites - Adults Only

Getting to restaurants and bars takes a taxi, about 15 minutes, though the hotel can arrange transport conveniently. That distance suited us, as Tsamis Zante Suites is a quiet spot away from crowded, noisy tourist areas. The rooms were spotless and well maintained, breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and ready to help. A wonderful place to unwind by the sea, and one I highly recommend.

The food was the highlight for us. Dinner had a wide choice each night, with different cuisines and plenty of meat, fish, salads, vegetables and desserts. It was excellent and never felt repetitive. Breakfast was good too. The hotel is fairly remote, with only a supermarket nearby, so half board makes sense. We spent a week here and had a lovely stay. On arrival we were given welcome drinks, then one of the managers helped with our bags, took us to the room and explained how everything worked. It felt like VIP service. All the staff, from the managers and waiting team to Doris, were friendly, hardworking and happy to help. The pool areas were spacious, well kept and peaceful, with plenty of places to sit or lie down. We always found a spot, even in the afternoon. The views were beautiful, and bar staff brought drinks to our sun lounger or bed through the day. It had a little oasis feel. Our room was just like the pictures, very clean and beautiful, and the private pool was a nice extra. The main downside was noise. We could hear the people next door talking or watching TV every night, and also heard the upstairs guests walking around and using the shower and toilet. Smoke from outside sometimes drifted into our room, and we could smell it when sitting outdoors too. We don't smoke, and it would have been better to separate smoking and non-smoking rooms. We also tried the small gym. It was nice and had enough for a short workout, including two treadmills. All in all, a really pleasant week and we'd definitely return.

We liked being able to step down into the sea from the resort, and there are a couple of local restaurants nearby if you fancy lunch out. The hotel's own food was reasonably priced and good as well. The buffet dinners were high quality, with dishes like ceviche, leg of lamb and moussaka. There's also a vegan restaurant with good quality food. Our garden-view superior suite had a west-facing pool, so we got afternoon sun and sunset there. It was shaded in the morning, but we didn't mind and used beds around the other three main pools instead. The private sea-view pools face north, so I imagine they stay cold without any sun. The private pool-view ones also face west and get afternoon sun, though people can see in from the walkway. It was a great place for a romantic break. The other guests were couples too, so it stayed quiet, with no rowdy groups keeping us up. The gym was just right for a few days away and had enough equipment to keep active. We'd definitely come back, 10/10.

Markos, the barman in the lower-level bar, was polite and professional and made incredible cocktails. Vasilis was a great help too, with a good sense of humor. We spent a week here this summer with my partner and loved the calm, romantic atmosphere. It felt like heaven on earth, a perfect hotel for couples. I'd come back 100%, and next time I'd stay at least two weeks.
