Vιlla Anna-Maria

For what you pay, the service should be premium, but that wasn't our experience. Anna Maria villa is on an ideal piece of land near Zakynthos town, though you'll need a car to get around. When we arrived in early June 2025, it smelled awful, probably from the previous guests smoking. Cleaning hadn't been done properly, and it was dirty with mosquitoes, cockroaches, and gnats around. There were no coffee capsules or washing machine capsules, so I had to buy my own coffee capsules and washing machine cleaner. Really? The pool is only 1.30m deep, which may suit kids but isn't enough for adults. The hosts were rude and unwilling to help. I also saw cracks in the glass fence, which seemed dangerous to everyone. In my opinion, avoid it. There are much better and cheaper options on beautiful Zakynthos island.

It's a really nice place for a holiday. It doesn't meet German standards in every way, but that's okay.

The charming rooms and very warm welcome made our Pentecost break at Villa Anna Maria a pleasure. The owner was super friendly, and we were greeted with wine and snacks. We had a rental car and explored the island each day, then enjoyed evenings on the terrace under the moon with a glass of wine. We felt very well looked after and loved our time there.
