Villa Basil Apart Hotel

The grounds and hotel were well looked after, the staff were very nice, and the location was great. I'd stay again, although my husband hated the spiral stairs. We had the loft, and no one had told us before arrival that it had a spiral staircase. The cupboards under the eaves were hard to reach, and the balcony was narrow, though pleasant to sit on. There were very few sockets, none near the kettle. I brought an extension lead and plenty of adapters, which came in handy. I had to put the kettle on top of the fridge and use its socket with my twin EU adapter. The kitchen was just a sink unit and fridge. The bathroom was quite dark despite having a mirror. The long mirror in the room faced the patio doors, so it was hard to check my appearance. At night the two ceiling lights were dim, and without a bedside lamp I couldn't read. It would also be helpful to have a door sign for days when you don't want the cleaners, especially if you've returned after lunch and missed their visit, or don't want to be disturbed.

We loved the quirky, roomy loft apartment, though the low ceilings and spiral staircase won't suit everyone. The hotel, room, and pool were spotlessly clean. Staff were so friendly, especially Bernie and Co at the pool bar/cafe, where there were plenty of jokes and fun, plus an amazing breakfast. It's in a fab spot, quiet but just a couple of minutes from the beach, shops, and lots of restaurants. We'd definitely visit again. 😍

A quiet place with a good location, close to the beach and a 2-minute walk from the bars. The pool was a nice size for cooling off when the sun got too hot. We thought it was excellent value for money, and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Our AC broke one night, and they got someone in right away to replace the whole thing. Akis, the lively receptionist, sorted everything out and had a great sense of humour. Ida cleaned the room immaculately every day, made us laugh, and left lovely towel sculptures. Zoe, the bar maid/waitress, brought us tasty snacks, beers, and a good cup of pg tips in the morning. We didn't get the chef's name, but the food was good, since we kept eating it and got really fat. We'll definitely be back next year. We can't recommend it enough. The one thing we'd change is adding a beach towel service.

I've stayed here many times and always get a warm welcome. Great rooms, staff, and location. I'd recommend it.
