Zante Palace

The pool was nice, and the water was cool without being too cold. Housekeeping came every day with fresh towels, sheets and blankets, and got the cleaning done very quickly, in about 20-30 minutes. The staff were really kind and their English was good enough for us to understand each other. It was quiet outside, since the hotel is a bit away from the city. Breakfast was basic with limited choice, though what they served tasted good. The bathroom door was glass, had no lock and was somewhat see through. I enjoyed my week here and would recommend it if you want an affordable place with decent quality.

The service and breakfast were good, and the hotel is close to the beach. Still, the rooms didn’t seem very clean to me. I suspect the floors were cleaned without detergent, and the toilet and bathroom were never cleaned during our stay. They only changed the towels when we left them on the floor. The hotel itself wasn’t bad, but be prepared for the uphill walk. Also, the air conditioning cost an extra 7 Euro a day on top of the reservation.

We had a very unpleasant stay. The location wasn’t good, and the facilities fell short of what I’d expect from a 3 star hotel. The pool had so much chlorine that it was uncomfortable to use, and the corridors smelled strongly of cat urine, making it unpleasant to walk around. We brought up these problems more than once, but management dismissed each one as “hotel policy.” They didn’t make a real effort to fix anything. The hotel didn’t live up to its rating, and I wouldn’t recommend it.

The pool bar had a good selection of drinks and snacks, and it was relaxing to sit there with one last drink in the evening after eating at a taverna on the island. Our room was well equipped and very clean, thanks to the cleaning staff who made sure we had everything we needed. We had a lovely family holiday at Zante Palace Hotel. The location was beautiful, with stunning views of the sea and surrounding area, and all the staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Thanks for a fab holiday.
