The location made it easy to enjoy both a quiet stay and a meal out. There’s a lovely tavern just across the street, and Heraklion is only about a 15-minute drive away. Back at the villa, I loved how peaceful it was and how warm and hospitable the locals were. The house itself is modern, elegant, comfortable, and spotlessly clean, with all the amenities you’d expect from a furnished home and more. I especially appreciated the separate laundry room with its washing machine, and that gorgeous little yard with a traditional oven made me a bit envious.

We found a lot to enjoy outside, from the child-friendly pool, which isn’t too deep, to the BBQ and the traditional outdoor oven. That oven is a fun extra if you’re feeling adventurous with cooking, and the fully equipped kitchen makes it easy to try the island’s produce. There’s also an inviting tavern just around the corner, where you can eat from breakfast through dinner and leave satisfied. The village is lovely, its locals are incredibly hospitable, and Heraklion is only 20 minutes away. Inside, this was one of the most elegant places we’ve ever stayed. The soft, easy-on-the-eyes colors and traditional stone walls continue both indoors and out. The cozy rooms have plenty of storage and comfortable beds for a restful night. There’s even a jacuzzi in the living room for a little pampering.

Sophia made us feel right at home, and we had such an enjoyable stay. The villa was clean and fully furnished, with a jacuzzi, pool, and barbecue area. Everything we needed was within reach. Book it!
