Villa Poseidon Residence

My partner and I spent a week at Villa Poseidon and can highly recommend it. The elevated location gives you a wonderful view, and the hosts, Soteria and Zakelarios, put so much care into the place. They replied quickly and were always ready to help with our requests. We could also arrange to eat at the villa. The local food was healthy and fantastic. Thanks to them, our stay has become a special memory we’ll carry with us. Thank you!

We chose this accommodation for its quiet setting and pool, and it lived up to our expectations for a holiday with our children, aged 7 and 10. What pleasantly surprised us most was how welcoming Sotiria and Sakelarios were. They helped us a lot when we had car trouble, and the food we got to try there was absolutely worth it. The area is very quiet, with a nice breeze. You do need a car, though everything is a short distance away. There were ants, but that’s understandable in a place surrounded by nature. You have to be careful to store food properly.

Sotiria’s cooking was one of my favorite experiences on the island. She’s a chef, and watching her prepare natural, traditional homemade dishes just for you feels like entertainment in itself. Everything is made with love. The apartment is clean and well kept, in a stone house. She’s always there if you have questions or need recommendations. The service is worth the money, and you get a friend on top of it.

Great location, with a nice little pool. They offer barbecue, breakfast and lunch at okay prices, though drinks cost about the same as in restaurants, with beer at 5 euros. We asked to check in before 16:00, but that wasn’t possible, which I understand. It was also difficult to leave our luggage and some meat in the cooler. The owners can be a bit pushy about upselling, and you can’t bring your own food or drinks to the pool. There’s no standard air conditioning, you pay an extra 10 euros per night for it. I couldn’t sleep the first night with or without the air conditioning, while it stayed at 28 Celsius. The temperature dropped to 24 only on the second night. Ask about food and drink prices in advance. If they put something on your table that you didn’t order, you’ll be charged if you eat it. We thought the salad came with the mixed grill, but it didn’t. They make coffee in the microwave and still charge 4 to 4.5 euros. My son really liked the place, especially the pool. WiFi worked perfectly too after I helped the owner fix the problem 😂.
