We had a lovely, calm stay, with a little market and two tavernas just a one to three-minute walk away. The food was delicious and reasonably priced, and the nearby bus stop made getting to Zakynthos easy in under an hour. Our simple, clean apartment was in a peaceful spot, only five minutes on foot from the sandy Gerakas Beach, a marine turtle reserve. There was also a charming pebble beach nearby. Both had crystal-clear water without jellyfish, thanks to the turtles, and boats aren't allowed to approach, so the beaches stay tranquil. Pelagia was so attentive throughout our stay. She even walked with us to the bus stop, and on our last day let us use another apartment to freshen up after the beach while ours was being prepared for the next guests. I'd highly recommend it for a quiet holiday.

For what we wanted, this place was perfect. Pelagia, the owner, is lovely and keeps everything spotless. Gerakas Beach is about a five-minute walk, and Triodi taverna is right next door, with Niko’s just beyond it. The room is basic, with a shower and a small cooking area, but the balcony is a good size and looks out over olive and citrus trees in the garden.
