Maistrali

For what we paid, 154 euros for two nights from August 31 to September 2, 2024, it was okay, though there's room to improve. We booked because we love the location and Vasiliki beach. The large terrace was even bigger than the room, the view was a big part of the appeal, and the linens were very clean. There was a kitchenette with a few utensils for making a small breakfast. We did find ants, so providing ant spray might help, even if they come in from outside. The shower tray had limescale marks and could use a more thorough clean. For us it felt like a two-star hotel, so we weren't expecting too much.

After years of going to Lefkada, I was completely disappointed this time. The photos bore no relation to what we found, and the front desk looked like a warehouse as soon as we walked in. The room was generally dirty, the closet had crumbs and ants, and the appliances weren't very clean. We couldn't relax in the bathroom either. The hosts seemed indifferent and malicious. It felt like a crime to charge the money they did, and it wasn't a small amount.

The hosts insisted on cash and refused to give us a receipt. They also seemed completely uninterested. The apartment was dirty, with ants, and old and neglected, including rusty equipment like the cooktop and clothes hoist. The bathroom toilet leaked. It didn't look like the photos on the internet or Booking.com at all.

The beach is just across the road, and the rooms are spacious. We were especially impressed with the bathroom. The staff were extremely helpful, and it seems like a great place for families.
