We were a couple in the basic triple room, which was the only one left on Booking. The room was renovated, really nice and clean, with enough space and wardrobes for two or three people. The air conditioning worked perfectly, positioned above the main door so it didn’t blow straight onto our heads. The bathroom has no shower curtain, which I’d seen people complain about, but there are two drains, one by the toilet and one in the shower, so it wasn’t a problem for us. Our room was cleaned every two days by a nice older man. The balcony was huge and the view was superb, looking over Vasiliki and toward Kefalonia at night. The building is on a cliff in Ponti near Vasiliki, easy to reach by car, and we always found parking, sometimes in front of the main gate. At first we couldn’t reach our host, who has many properties to look after, and we called on a weekend. When we got to the front of the property, he answered and quickly gave us the self check-in details. The process was smooth. I was sceptical at first, but the stay was worth it. Don’t expect five-star hotel service in a small building, or to cook there when there’s no kitchen. We felt great and I recommend it. Thanks, Spiros, for the good deal and the lovely, clean room!

The view was lovely, and the accommodation was clean and well looked after. Getting around on foot in the evenings wasn’t ideal, though. If you want to enjoy the nightlife without driving, the location may be inconvenient. The place itself was decent.

The view was nice, but for the price the conditions weren’t great. We also had a power cut and were without electricity for more than four hours.

It’s in a good location, but that’s the only positive I can give. There were cockroaches in the room and noises from the ceiling. The rooms were very dirty, and after repeatedly contacting staff, we had to push them to change the bed linen and do what was needed to make things clean. The bathroom was a disaster, the walls were damp, and there was an indescribable smell in the rooms. Worst of all, there was no hot water after 7, so you couldn’t shower. The rooms looked nothing like the pictures. I don’t recommend it, far too much money for nothing.

The view was the only good thing. The room, walls and door were terrible, and it didn’t feel secure at all. The balcony door was broken; they’d added something on top to lock it, but when you pulled one side, the whole thing opened. It’s a shame, given the location. We paid 150 euros a night for three nights, and it wasn’t worth it. At 40 a night, I might have thought it was okay, but paying 150 to walk into a room like that ruined the vacation.
