Xanthippi Hotel Apartments

Xanthipi Hotel was a wonderful place to stay. My room was lovely and very clean, with a nice terrace, and the sea view was stunning. They were also welcoming to pets and made sure my dog Strike had a great holiday too. Highly recommended! 🌊🐾

We stayed for 6 nights in October and were very glad we chose this hotel. It’s pleasant, well located, and has its own parking. The sandy beach, with umbrellas reserved for hotel guests, is about 2-3 minutes away; the ferry port and taverns are a comfortable 6-7 minute walk. The sheltered beach is good for swimming, and there are lots of fish among the rocks at either end. Our room was tastefully furnished and spacious for a 2* hotel. The air conditioning worked fully, and we didn’t use the ceiling fan. There’s an electric two-plate stove in the room’s kitchen, but it can’t really be used because there are no cooking utensils. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

The hotel is just a few steps from the boat harbor and a range of authentic restaurants, and it worked well as our base for exploring the area. There are sitting areas and sun beds, and the rooms are set up for couples rather than children. Nicholas, the owner and manager, brings professionalism to every corner and pays attention to the little things that make guests comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful, served personally with lots of delicacies. There’s also a bar and restaurant serving Greek food with a modern twist. I’ll definitely return and recommend the hotel wholeheartedly.

The room was in good condition, and the beach was lovely, with fine sand, clear water, and a relaxing atmosphere. Most parts of the hotel pleased us, and the stay itself was fairly relaxing, but the staff’s attitude was a problem. For religious reasons, we asked for vegan breakfast, but were told they don’t make differences. The next morning we got the usual breakfast, with only salad and some fruit that were vegan. We were also told there’d be an extra charge for beach towels because we wouldn’t bring them back, so we kept them in the room for several days. Our shower towels weren’t changed for 4 days, even though they were covered in salt and sand from the beach. Our room was close to the entrance, so at night we could hear every car on the road. It was a little noisy.
