Odyssey Apartments

The attic room was quite nice, though not very comfortable for tall people, especially in the bathroom. There was no hot water early in the morning, and the Wi-Fi needs an upgrade. Those things weren't too important to us. Ithaki itself is amazing, and Odyssey apartments are in a very peaceful spot with a nice view over Vathi. What disappointed us and kind of ruined the stay was the owner's attitude. Kiria Soultana made a mistake, which can happen to anyone, but the way she tried to deal with it was unacceptable and unprofessional. She had overbooked the attic room and asked us to move to another room on our third day. Meanwhile, she had new customers for our room and literally threw us out. Because money talks! She told us lies to cover herself, blamed us for ridiculous things, and was simply very unprofessional. In the end, we left for another place, which she at least found for us, but the bitter feeling stayed. It's a good idea to double or even triple check your booking at Oddysey Apartments to avoid this kind of issue.

Those views each morning were stunning, and we had our own little outdoor space by the apartment. The pool and bar area were lovely too, and the host really went out of her way to make sure we enjoyed ourselves. We walked about 15-20 minutes to Minimata, a gorgeous beach, with more beaches further along the road. It feels nicely tucked away from town, but restaurants and an evening wander around town are still close enough. We had a lovely stay and will definitely be back next year. We didn't have a car and were happy walking everywhere. Highly recommend it, enjoy Ithaki! :-)

The place is extremely overpriced for what it offers. The AC barely worked, the Wi-Fi was painfully slow, and there was no hot water. Communication was very poor, and management had an unacceptable attitude toward customers. They left handwritten notes under our door, and other guests' doors too, saying payment had to be CASH ONLY, with no debit or credit cards accepted. Several residents were complaining and arguing with the woman in charge. Avoid.

The view was the only part of this stay that felt worthwhile. The place was disorganized and very basic, with no hot water, barely working AC, and painfully slow Wi-Fi despite what they tell you. They didn't explain from the start that cards wouldn't be accepted. We were told cash was needed only for the deposit, not for the entire stay, or that we could pay by bank transfer. The owner/manager was rude and argued with residents. Avoid at all costs.
