Mylaon Boutique Hotel & Spa

We booked four nights for a Christmas holiday with our children, but left after just one. The hotel owner wouldn’t listen to our complaints, couldn’t speak English, and refused to consider a cancellation or refund. We spent four hours on the phone with booking, supplying photos and other evidence, because the owners wouldn’t agree to either. I strongly advise people to read the low-rated reviews, as the complaints seem to be about the same issues. Highly not recommended. From the start, the stay was disappointing and didn’t meet what we expected from a 5 stars hotel. What we found didn’t match the website or booking, and it wasn’t value for money, even after we were upgraded to a bigger room. It didn’t feel like a spa resort: apart from a swimming pool that definitely wasn’t warm at room temperature, nothing was working. The restaurant was closed and only snacks were offered. We tried them on our first evening, but they were just breakfast buffet leftovers. All the restaurants were in the city, and we were told to go buy supplies at the supermarket on Christmas evening. Breakfast was very poor and not like the pictures. I had to ask for a bread roaster, and they didn’t have one. The beds were extremely soft and uncomfortable, and our children even complained of back pain. That’s never happened to us before.
