The hardest part of our stay was the bed. It was too small for a double, and at 1.68 my legs reached the gap. My husband had it even worse. The mattress was so firm that we both woke up with backaches every morning. I think a good mattress is one of the most important things in a guesthouse, since proper rest has a big effect on how much you enjoy your holiday. The room itself was small but comfortable and nicely decorated, and the bathroom was small too, though the bathtub was comfortable to use. The guesthouse is right in the center of Portaria, close to all the interesting spots, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It’s a lovely, traditional place, but the bed made us give it only 3 stars.

The staff were wonderful, always smiling, polite, and happy to help. They made us feel at ease and gave us good suggestions. We had a stuffed burger and chicken kontosouvli, both delicious and cooked just right. The appetizers were excellent too, with good portions and lovely flavors. We’ll definitely be back!

The mattress springs were sticking out and hurting us, and the room was small. There wasn’t any parking, not even during the holidays. Completely unacceptable.

Efi and the staff were cheerful and so helpful. The upstairs area with the canapés was incredible, and we’d definitely return. The restaurant food we tried was delicious and well cooked. Our room had beautiful decor and was spotlessly clean, as was the comfortable bathroom. It’s in a great spot, just 20 meters from the central square. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful, with lots of genuine products.
