The apartments aren’t that bad, but be prepared for problems. Even though you’ve paid in advance for a washing machine, you may have to find somewhere around town to do your laundry. If something goes wrong at the property, expect to be blamed. In winter it can be freezing, and since the only heating is the AC, you may get blamed for using too much electricity. I assume summer cooling could bring the same issue. The toilet is awful, very dark and cold. There’s no place in the back yard to barbecue. Parking is easy to find, but it’s just on the street, so there’s no guarantee your car is safe. In short, this is anything but luxury and coastal.

The beach is no more than 200 meters away, which works well for a coastal vacation. The room was comfortable and clean, with a fully equipped kitchen if you need to cook. It’s a little far from the center of Volos.

The sea was very close, and Volos was lovely. The rooms were beautiful and clean, and everything was easy to arrange. The hostess was fantastic. I’m only sorry I didn’t meet her in person, since we sorted everything out over the phone. I’d happily go back, just not during a heat wave.

I’ve stayed here twice, and I’d only look for another room if I couldn’t get one here. The owner is very kind and cooperative. It’s clean and seems relatively new, or at least very well maintained, and the room quality is very good for the price. I’m giving it 4 stars so nobody mistakes it for a hotel with 5-star amenities. One useful extra is a mop for anyone who wants to collect water from the bathroom.

We didn’t meet the owner, but she sent clear directions. The room was clean and comfortable. There was no clothesline on the balcony, and the first morning there was no hot water. It had rained the day before, so perhaps the solar panels hadn’t heated it. We had to shower in cold water because we were getting ready for a wedding and couldn’t wait. What bothered me most was that paying by bank transfer or card didn’t seem welcome at all. We were running short of cash at the last minute.
