I love this hotel and plan to come back, hopefully for a longer stay. The staff were so welcoming, the room was lovely, and the breakfast was delicious, with everything homemade. There’s also a great restaurant next door. All very good!

On a sunny day, sitting among the big trees here makes you realize you may have found one of Greece’s most beautiful spots. Hotel Filoxenia is tucked between other places in Portaria, but its location is wonderful. It’s a small, quiet and welcoming hotel, and the owners clearly care about it and make sure you have what you need.

The family running this place are wonderful, kind, and always helpful. The rooms are very clean, and the handmade breakfast is amazing. It’s a 100-year-old hotel that feels brand new, probably the best place we’ve stayed in Greece.

Kritsa, her parents, and her daughter were all so kind and helpful. The hotel sits right on the main square in the very center of Portaria, and our room was spacious and comfortable, with a modern shower in the bathroom. Breakfast was wonderful, with sweet and savory options, handmade Greek products, preserves, cakes, and more. Filoxenia means hospitality, and that really fits. Many thanks.

The host was so kind and ready to help with anything possible. The rooms were clean and really nice, and the location was wonderful, full of flowers. The hydrangeas were especially impressive. Efhristo poli🙏❤️ from the Romanian family who were with the Greek man. 🥰
