Atrium Of Alonissos

The pool was lovely, the views were great, and the hotel was great too. The staff were excellent, especially Angela, who regularly served us at the bar. Some people might not like being away from the main town, but it’s quiet here and an easy, pleasant ten-minute walk into town, all downhill. The pool bar’s drinks and food were very good. I especially liked the iced glasses for beer.

The hotel has a fantastic view over the coast and is in a good location, about a ten-minute walk from the port. The pool area was peaceful and clean, with comfortable loungers. The staff were lovely and friendly, and the hotel cat was super cute and friendly too. The rooms could use newer furniture and feel a little dated, though they were always very clean. Breakfast was short on basics like bread and pastries on some days.

It's quiet and exceptionally clean, with large rooms, big bathrooms, and balconies overlooking a small bay in almost every room. There’s a small selection of snacks, and breakfast overlooking the bay is fine. I’d go again. Walking into town takes around 15 minutes, with some fairly steep stretches. A taxi back costs €5. The ferry transfer takes 2 1/2 hours, but it’s a very enjoyable trip.

We loved staying at the Atrium. Konstantina at reception and Marcella at breakfast were amazing, always smiling and ready to help. The pools were fab for cooling off after a day at the beach. The hotel sits up the hill from the harbour, on the way to the old town, with great views of the ferries coming in. The walk down is lovely, but if you're not watching your waistline, you might want a taxi back up.
