The old stone farmhouse has been restored beautifully, and our roomy apartment had a well-equipped kitchen, a snug living area, and a terrace looking toward the mountains. Casa Arokaria sits in a quiet, tucked-away valley among orange, lemon, and olive trees, with lovely gardens and a really peaceful feel. Kovi and her mother-in-law were so welcoming and pointed us toward good local dinners, pastries, beaches, and things to see in northwest Crete. We also loved the sweet oranges from their orchard. A lovely choice for a calm, authentic break in Crete.

We spent a lot of time enjoying the terrace in the mornings, with greenery all around and birdsong in the background. The place was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed, and the hosts were kind and helpful whenever we needed them without hovering. The surroundings feel special and peaceful, just right for unwinding and switching off from daily stress. I’d happily return, especially for another quiet holiday close to nature.

such a perfect vacation spot!! Even in the boiling heat, there's a light breeze from the forest that makes it feel so nice. The area is peaceful and the view is magical. The owner is so kind and always there if you need anything!! I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a holiday 💖

Our family really enjoyed the warm welcome at Casa Arokaria, and the house itself was so nicely decorated. We were there with our two teenage daughters in Voukolies, Western Crete, and the lemon and orange trees around us made the setting feel especially lovely. Fresh juice from the fruit each morning was a treat. A hike through Gorge Deliana was one of our favorite parts. We saw goats and sheep along the way, and the scenery gave us a great chance to enjoy nature together. We also went to Biolea, the local organic olive oil factory, where we learned how the oil is made and had delicious food at a scenic spot on a hill. The regional flavors really stood out. The peaceful surroundings and warm hospitality made our stay memorable. Thanks for looking after us so warmly ♥️

We loved having breakfast and evening meals with wine out on the terrace. Inside, the house was thoughtfully decorated and had everything we could need. The garden was beautifully cared for, and the flowers smelled wonderful when we arrived. Our lovely hostess and an older lady welcomed us with local sweets. We'd also suggest trying the orchard's lime juice and the homemade thyme honey 🍋
