SOUND OF SEA Villas

Spiros made us feel at home from the start. He was always available for anything we needed and such a welcoming host. We arrived as tourists and left feeling like friends. We spent nine nights with our family at Sound of Sea Villas. Everything we needed was there, and the sea was only a few steps away. The inside and outside were very clean, and the pool was checked and cleaned regularly. We really hope to visit Kefalonia again, stay at Sound of Sea Villas and see Spiros. A lovely place for a family holiday, very close to the sea. The owner was really nice and gave us great suggestions for places to eat and visit. The house and pool were cleaned regularly. I’d recommend it to anyone planning a holiday in Greece.

The location was lovely, with a sea view and the sound of rolling waves clearly audible in the evening, which is where Sound of Sea gets its name. There’s a good beach and a couple of excellent tavernas a five minute walk away. We also had a car to explore the island’s breathtaking beaches. We spent two weeks in the two bedroom Sunrise villa. Spiros met us with fresh fruit and a chilled bottle of Kefalonia white wine. The villa was comfortable and roomy, with high ceilings and large bedrooms with very comfortable beds. Everything was brand new, designed and decorated by Spiros to a high standard. The kitchen had a full range of equipment, including Nespresso and filter coffee machines, a kettle, juicer, microwave, ceramic hob and dishwasher. Each room had air conditioning. Outside, there’s a well furnished pool area in the sun all day, with gardens, fruit trees and olive trees, plus some interesting insects and birds. The three villas are all independent and private, with a cleaner every other day, so the linens, towels and floors stayed fresh and clean. Our two bedroom villa didn’t have the mezzanine lounge found in the three bedroom Sunshine and Sunset villas. Spiros showed us those between bookings. The Sunrise is designed to be fully wheelchair accessible, and we didn’t miss the mezzanine anyway, since we spent most evenings playing cards at the outdoor table. Who wants to watch TV on holiday? Spiros was a perfect host, always available for help or a chat, and he went out of his way to make sure guests were happy. We were sad to leave, but hope to return to the villas on our next visit to Kefalonia. Thank you, Spiros, for such a comfortable stay and the touching, unexpected parting gift.

Spiros is so friendly and helps with anything you need. We had ten dreamy days in these beautiful villas, with a great pool, cozy rooms and a nice kitchen. Lovely place. I’d definitely like to come back.
