Kleopatra Hotel Apartments

The apartment was spacious, clean, and free of bugs or dirt. I liked the balcony doors, which had separate glass, insect-screen, and shutter panels. They helped me feel secure and kept bugs out. During a big storm, a backup generator kept the fridge and one light running, so my food stayed cold. The owner was very friendly and happy to chat, but also left me to myself when I wanted. The apartment was cleaned every few days and the sheets were changed. The shower and taps all worked well. The air conditioning broke after the storm. The owner even paid an electrician to look at it, but it couldn’t be fixed. It wasn’t too much trouble because I could leave the balcony door open with just the bug screen closed. WiFi and air conditioning were free, which is handy if you have kids to keep entertained. There’s no pool, but the beach is only a few minutes away. The supermarket, vet, bakery, and church are nearby too. There’s parking outside and under the hotel, which worked well since I’d hired a car. I had a lovely stay, and it helped that all the staff spoke good English so I could ask questions and chat. Five stars, loved it!

The mother and daughter running this traditional hotel were so welcoming and helpful. Our room was a good size and clean, and it’s less than a five-minute walk to the beach. Looking forward to coming back.
