Thalasses Villas Skiathos

The setting is peaceful and private, with stunning views, yet it’s very close to town. The owner and staff made us feel more than at home. For anyone looking for a villa in Skiathos, this is a fantastic choice. Definitely worth a visit.

The view from Villa Meliti is huge, an uninterrupted 180 degrees of sea and islands, and the patio is enormous. There’s a private pool big enough for a proper swim, a comfortable main bedroom bed, and lovely fresh luxury linens and towels. We didn’t try the bed above the living room. Even the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were top quality. The villa is quite small, but its modern open-plan design makes it feel much bigger. We were two people and stayed for a week. The outdoor dining area was a pleasure, apart from a few wasps; the kitchen is fairly well equipped, and we used the BBQ once. It’s a very quiet spot, and we hope it stays that way for our return visit. Town restaurants are just a 5-6 minute drive away. The daily cleaning was discreet and excellent, like being in a 5-star hotel. The owner and his family are lovely and always available. They left us a generous welcome pack with wine, water, and food. We walked down a steep path each day to a charming little pebbly beach shared with the other two villas, with no one else around when we went. I loved swimming there. Three more villas are being built for the off season. Nino's beach is also about a 10-minute walk away, and we rarely saw more than six people there. You’ll need a car that can handle a hill to stay here.

Every morning we woke to a breathtaking view across the bay toward Skiathos. The villa sits on the hillside looking across to Arkos, on a small peninsula. It’s peaceful, modern, and well equipped, with two bedrooms, and it was cleaned and serviced daily.

Nikolas, the owner, is on site and available any time on WhatsApp. He helped with boat or car hire and restaurant suggestions, and was even there if we broke a glass. The villas are beautifully kept and cleaned every day, with the service you’d expect from a 5-star hotel while still having your own secluded place. There’s a private beach, plus a self-service halfway bar with soft drinks and a place to keep beers cool. The beach is great for snorkeling. We travelled as two adults with a 3-year-old and an 18-month-old during May 2022 Half Term. It was a return visit to Skiathos and one of our best family holidays. The villas sit high on the hillside in an incredible spot, with panoramic, uninterrupted views of Skopelos. The design and positioning of each villa clearly take the views into account. Skiathos town is a 5-minute taxi or car ride away, so the villas are out of the way of the town lights and planes approaching the island airport, but convenient for going out in the evening. I can’t recommend Nikolas and the villas enough. Five stars all round.
