Hotel Punta

A lovely place with a stunning view and a beautiful private beach. From that special beach, you can watch planes landing all day. Many thanks to the wonderful woman at reception, who was kind, patient, and helpful, and even helped us arrange some trips. She made our stay unforgettable. We felt genuinely welcomed and cared for here. It’s a great choice for families too.

I lead tour groups, and this was my second time booking the hotel for my participants. We’ve had a great experience both times, so I’m sure there’ll be a third. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and cleanliness is good. The pool and relaxation area are fantastic, and the reception staff are always kind and ready to help.

The hotel charged €10 per day in tourist tax, the maximum, though the place itself is lacking. Don’t expect a four-star hotel, it’s a three-star one. The staff were friendly and even came outside to say goodbye. There’s a free shuttle to town, but it isn’t flexible and has limited seats. The views over the city centre are amazing, and we got two free welcome drinks. You can walk to the centre, so no taxi is needed unless you’re elderly. There were no uniforms or name badges, and we got only one key per room. The sunbeds were cheap and uncomfortable. There was no free water with dinner, although there was some at breakfast, which felt greedy. There’s no elevator, and no luggage storage room either, bags were just left randomly around the entrance. The food was just okay, and the pool needs cleaning. With these drawbacks, how can this be a four-star hotel?

We’ve just returned from punta, where we took our six-month-old on his first holiday through TUI. They had everything ready for him. We’d requested a travel cot beforehand, and it was set up in the room when we arrived. A kettle for making bottles came within minutes after we asked, and when we noticed our blackout curtain was missing, they had it sorted by the time we got back. The staff were friendly and helpful, the food was plentiful, varied, and tasty, and the balcony views were amazing. There’s a tiny secluded beach too, which was a bonus. The walk into town is hilly, and the minibus is great but books up quickly. We did a few walks for exercise. Couldn’t recommend this place enough!
