Hotel Elena

We were kept awake by extremely loud noise from outside until four in the morning, and it made us very worried. The room was clean and the staff polite, but there was only one phone charging plug, by the toilet mirror. There were no glasses either, so without our own water we would have had to drink from our hands. The phone had no information sheet, leaving us to guess how to reach reception or the bar.

The staff were great and easy to reach, and the rooms were spacious and clean. There’s a good air conditioning system and a fridge, but the bathroom felt old fashioned and the TV had few channels for non Greek guests. The hotel itself has limited facilities, with a small lobby and a separate bar room. That room is quiet and works well for a drink as a couple or group. Breakfast was the weakest part for me. The selection was very limited, with no croissants, sliced fruit, good cakes, or fresh bread. You won’t leave hungry, but I didn’t feel satisfied either. The location is fine, around a five minute walk from the old town or city center. Elena Hotel is acceptable for work or leisure, but if you’re looking for more than somewhere to sleep before heading out in the morning and returning at night, it may not be what you want.

The price felt fair for what you get, and the staff were friendly and helpful. A good hotel for a day or two while travelling around.

The internet was slow and really needs a thorough improvement. Otherwise, service was good, breakfast was good, and the rooms were very large. It’s about a 13 minute walk from the town square. The hotel is a little outdated, though it used to be very luxurious.
